A man has been charged with firearms possession after police allegedly found a collection of curious weapons in his home.

Among the weapons seized were knuckle-dusters, a sword and a butterfly pocket knife as well as nine guns and ammunition.
Police searched multiple homes in Doreen on the outskirts of Melbourne on June 20 after a bullet struck a passing car on Bridge Inn Road on May 28.

A 47-year-old year old man was charged with possessing firearms, prohibited weapons and ammunition without a licence.
The man was bailed to appear in Heidelberg Magistrates' Court on November 15.
